Photos with same names but different extensions get overwritten

I have the following files in my folder to process:

• photo.jpg
• photo.png

If I use the script the processed files folder shows me:

• photo_2.jpg

I expected that the folder would have:

• photo-jpg_2.jpg
• photo-png_2.jpg
